WED’s Building Workforce Partnerships (BWP) Conference is an annual collaboration of the California Labor Federation and the State of California. The event draws a national group of nearly 400 participants from labor unions and labor training partnerships, local workforce development boards, one-stop operators, business, academia, community colleges, community-based organizations, k-12 institutions, economic development entities and other partners. Attendees participate in over 25 workshops and plenaries that profile best practices, with an emphasis on strategic labor-industry-government partnerships in skills building, community development, economic development, and lay-off response.
